📸Weekend Rewind: 7th Annual Cross the Line Paddle for Veterans

On the morning of June 21st, as the sun began to rise over the calm coastal waters, a group of passionate paddlers set out on a 9-mile journey with a purpose. The 7th Annual Cross the Line Paddle for Veterans brought together community members from Georgia and Florida to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans, tracing a historic route from St. Marys, GA to Fernandina Beach, FL.

Starting at 7:00 AM, kayakers launched into the Intracoastal Waterway, surrounded by scenic beauty and a spirit of unity. The paddle wasn’t just a physical challenge—it was a moving tribute and a meaningful reminder of the strength and resilience of those who’ve served our nation.

Participants navigated the peaceful waters in a show of solidarity, with every mile crossed symbolizing a step toward healing, remembrance, and community connection. Along the way, they were cheered on by supporters onshore and greeted with open arms upon arrival in Fernandina Beach.

A special thank you goes out to the Mayor of Fernandina, volunteers, safety crews, and all who contributed to the event’s success. Their dedication and support helped create a safe, inspiring, and unforgettable experience.

If you couldn’t make it this year, be sure to check out the event photos that captured the energy, emotion, and beauty of the paddle. Each image tells a story of courage, camaraderie, and community spirit.
