After the Sunset, the Magic Began: St. Marys Lights Up for the Holidays
This past weekend, downtown St. Marys was filled with warmth, light, and community spirit as two beloved holiday events came together to create something truly special.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the waterfront transformed into a glowing scene during Set Sail with Santa. Decorated boats lit up the water, creating a magical backdrop that brought smiles to faces of all ages. The reflections of twinkling lights on the river, paired with crisp evening air, made for a picture-perfect start to the night.
Just steps away, downtown continued to shine with the Tinsel Trail Tree Lighting. This cherished tradition showcases the heart of our community, with creatively decorated trees sponsored by local small businesses. The Tinsel Trail is more than festive décor — it’s a powerful example of giving back. All proceeds from the Tinsel Trail directly support Camden House, helping provide hope and assistance to those in need right here in our community.
These events are a reminder of what makes St. Marys so special: neighbors coming together, local businesses investing in the community, and shared moments that create lasting memories.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Camden County Chamber Of Commerce, St. Marys Main Street DDA, Karen Preble of Brackish Beer, the City of St. Marys Public Works, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the weekend a success. Your dedication and teamwork helped bring the holiday spirit to life.
Be sure to check out the photos from both events and relive the magic. Downtown St. Marys continues to shine bright — especially during the holiday season.
